ATTENTION MEMBER DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHERS....
French River, in partnership with JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments), has exciting news for our member district high school science teachers and their students!
JoVE is the premier producer and publisher of video resources for scientific research and education. Over 450 colleges and universities in the United States subscribe to JoVE! Now, there is a collection called "Science Education" that includes close to 400 videos and is designed to help high school students develop the skills to be successful learning scientific concepts and performing experiments. Teachers are encouraged to integrate the videos into their instruction and assign quizzes to students to gauge how they are mastering the materials.
French River Education has been granted a 'no-cost', fifteen (15) month subscription to the on line video series making it possible for area high school science teachers and their students to access the videos without cost. Teachers are free to use them in class for instructional purposes and evaluate their effectiveness in the delivery of science instruction. Beyond the trial period, which ends August 31, 2018, please know that the collection is available to school districts for purchase. The collection is affordable for high schools and accessibility of the content can be either on-campus or off. The Science Education collection is the ideal complement for schools that want to increase the performance of students in areas of science, medicine, and engineering.
To learn how you and your students can access these science videos for your classroom, contact Ricci Hall at 508-987-0219 ext. 101 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
